Pouakai Crossing Park & Ride
Got your own car! Shuttle transport from Mangorei Road carpark to the beginning of the Pouākai Crossing. Hike at your own pace and finish in your own time!
Departure Times
We will depart from the Mangorei Trailhead Carpark anywhere between 7:00am to 8:45am and take you to the North Taranaki Visitors centre to start the Pouākai Crossing. Collection times will be confirmed the evening before departure dependant on passenger numbers.
Mangorei Road Carpark location
Google Maps Mangorei Track Trailhead, 1878 Mangorei Track, Mangorei 4371. This will give you the approximate time it takes to drive from your accommodation to the carpark where we will collect you. Usually around 20 minutes drive from central New Plymouth.

Pouakai Crossing Shuttle Return
Return transport to the Pouākai Crossing. Starting at North Taranaki Visitors Centre (formerly known as North Egmont Visitors Centre) and finishing at the Mangorei Trailhead carpark.
Departure Times
We will pick you up from your central New Plymouth accommodation anywhere between 6:00am to 7:00am and take you to the North Taranaki Visitors centre to start the Pouākai Crossing.
Collection from the Mangorei Trailhead Carpark is approximately 4:00pm.
Pick up and Collection times will be confirmed the evening before departure.
Got your own car? Book a Pouākai Crossing Park and Ride so you can finish in your own time.

Pouākai Tarns (aka Mirror Lake) Shuttle
Return transport to the Mangorei Trailhead for the 5 to 6 hour return hike to the Pouākai Tarns, also known as the 'mirror lake’.
Departure Times
We will pick you up from your central New Plymouth accommodation anywhere between 6:00am to 7:00am and take you to the Mangorei Trailhead Track to start the Pouākai Tarns Track.
Pick up and Collection times will be confirmed the evening before departure. Other timing options may be available upon application.

North Taranaki Visitors Centre
Return shuttle to the North Taranaki Visitors Centre for several walks of different lengths and difficulties. Experience the majestic Taranaki Maunga from the starting point of several walks of different lengths and difficulties. Hike an hour or two take a break then choose another track to explore.

We will pick you up from your central New Plymouth accommodation anywhere between 6:00am to 7:00am and take you to the North Taranaki Visitors centre to start your walk/s.
Pick up and Collection times will be confirmed the evening before departure.

Return transport to North Taranaki Visitors Centre to access the Taranaki Maunga Summit Track during the months of December to April only.

We will collect you from your New Plymouth accommodation anywhere between 6:00am and 7:00am returning between 4:30 and 5:30pm. Exact collection times will be confirmed the night before departure for the mountain.

Multi Day Hikes - Pouakai and Around the Mountain
Return shuttle to the North Taranaki Visitors centre to start either the Pouākai circuit or Around the mountain circuit.
Departure Times
Timings confirmed upon application. We can collect you from your central New Plymouth accommodation and take you to the North Taranaki Visitors centre. Exact pick up and collection time and day will be confirmed upon application.
