Backpackers
The backpacker hostel offers a range of dorm options the largest of which is a six bed and includes a female only option. If your preference is for private sleeping space then our single, double and twin rooms have you covered.
There are five toilets and showers and a fully functional kitchen with plenty of fridge and freezer space. Everything you need to cook up a feast or boil up your two minuted noodles or porridge.
The communal space at Ducks and Drakes is second to none with a dedicated dining room with a communal “long table” and a more intimate, tall “wool press”. Legendary dinners occur in this space and it’s a great way to bond with travellers over a meal.
Our lounge room is equiped with a gorgeous log burner for the cooler months, a book library and well as 50+ cable channels from SKY TV. Most of the large international sporting events are featured here at Ducks and Drakes and make for some interesting times given the international nature of most of our guests. Friendly international rivalry seems to run strong.
The north facing sun room is a sun trap during the colder months of the year and is a cosy place to read, write or catch up with loved ones around the world.
WIFI is free and fast and is accesible everywhere on the property.
Ducks and Drakes shuttle operates daily (weather dependant) between October and April for all your mountain transfer needs.
