Rooms and Rates
Having been purpose built as a Private hotel in 1920’s, Ducks and Drakes has a variety of room shapes and sizes over two levels; from a shared dorm room or private double or even the ‘’Wendy House’’ (a Kiwi term for cubby house) in the garden. Guests staying in hotel rooms share bathroom facilities. A large communal kitchen opens on to the dining area with a rather impressive ‘long table’.
The Cottage Rooms added in the 90’s are sympathetic in style, opening on to a lush, green lawn. All Cottage rooms have en suite bathrooms, kitchenettes, and Sky TV - several have separate living areas. Whichever room type you choose, you are welcome to enjoy the guest lounge, sunroom, kitchen and dining facilities as well as our sauna*, same day laundry bag wash service* and Wifi hotspots* (small charge applies). We have irons/ironing boards and hairdryers at no charge. Several outdoor deck areas are perfect to soak up the sun or for a summer barbeque. We have limited off street parking and plenty of free on street parking with no time restrictions.

We have Cottage rooms that can sleep up to 4/5 people. An extra bed charge of $20 per person will apply. Please add to the twin/Double rate stated above.

Booking conditions:
A reservation is not considered confirmed until we have been advised of your credit card number and expiry date. If you find you need to cancel or change a confirmed booking, we ask that you give at least 72 hours notice. Cancellations (and changes that result in a reduced stay), received within 72 hours of confirmed check in time will be charged a cancellation fee equal to a one night stay. No shows will be charged the full value of accommodation booked.
